Khan Academy today launched an enhanced free SAT preparation program powered by OpenAI's GPT-5 model, offering personalized tutoring sessions that adapt to each student's strengths and weaknesses in real time.
The AI tutor, branded as Khanmigo SAT Coach, provides step-by-step explanations for math and reading comprehension questions, simulates timed test conditions, and generates custom practice sets targeting areas where students need the most improvement.
Khan Academy founder Sal Khan emphasized that the tool is designed to level the playing field for students who cannot afford expensive private test prep services, which typically cost between $1,000 and $5,000.
