A nonprofit coalition of education organizations has launched ScholarMatch, a free centralized database that aggregates scholarship opportunities from over 15,000 sources, highlighting an estimated $2 billion in awards that go unclaimed each year.
The platform uses AI-powered matching to connect students with scholarships based on their academic profile, extracurricular activities, demographics, and career interests. Users create a single profile rather than filling out individual applications for each opportunity.
Early results show that students using ScholarMatch apply to three times more scholarships on average compared to traditional search methods, significantly increasing their chances of receiving aid.
