Amazon has announced a $200 million expansion of its Career Choice program, which provides tuition-free education benefits to hourly employees. The expansion adds 50 new university partners and introduces coverage for graduate-level certificate programs for the first time.
The program now covers full tuition and fees at over 400 education partners, including community colleges, universities, and vocational schools. Amazon reports that more than 175,000 employees have participated in Career Choice since its inception.
New fields of study eligible under the expansion include cybersecurity, renewable energy technology, and healthcare administration, reflecting areas where Amazon sees growing workforce demand.
